Actor Miles Teller was arrested for suspected public intoxication, a misdemeanor, while visiting friends in San Diego.

MILES TELLER BOOKED FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION

Teller has been released from jail after being arrested early Sunday morning after police saw him swaying and falling into the street. Teller, however, has taken to social media to disagree with the charge.

“Went down to SD to see my buddy before he deployed. I wasn’t arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime,” he posted on Twitter. “Don’t believe everything you read, especially from a third party entertainment news source trying to get clicks. Appreciate the concern.”

Teller was allegedly uncooperative when police confronted him. They offered him the option of sleeping it off at a detox center, but Teller refused. “He was taken to the detox center where he was uncooperative and the staff rejected him. He was then arrested and transported to the local jail where he was booked,” Officer Billy Hernandez said. The officer’s report of the incident was handed to the San Diego City Attorney’s office, where it will be determined if the city will press charges.
