Rick Ross defended his label artist Meek Mill in a new interview on Friday — reportedly causing a rift between himself and his friend Drake, who has been locked in a beef with Mill for months.

Rick Ross & Drake Have Not Spoken Since Meek Mill Beef

Ross and Drake were set to work together on a mixtape titled YOLO this year, and the pair have already collaborated on numerous singles in the past, which led to a friendship.

However, Drake and Mill’s ongoing beef has now placed Ross in a compromising position — since Mill is currently signed to Ross’ record label Maybach Music Group.

Back in October, Ross first addressed the beef between the two rappers, explaining that the beef was a natural thing in hip hop; he also called Mill his “little brother” and Drake his “little homey.”

On Friday, during an interview with N.O.R.E and DJ EFN on their Drink Champs podcast, Ross made it clear that Mill did not lose to Drake.

“N—a ain’t lose to nobody,” Ross said. “Y’all better study the game and how the game goes.”

“You either be a G enough to — whatever the issue is, n—as bring it to the table or you just let it go out of control and see what happens,” Ross added.  “That’s my way of telling n—as, ‘Y’all n—as need to tighten up,’ so n—as can get it right.’ Because if you assuming a n—-a respects whoever your big homie is, you’re wrong.”

Ross was later asked what his position would be if the beef between the two rappers gets worse, and he replied, “If it’s gotta go there man…Renzel gon’ jump off the porch on your ass. And that’s just the way I always been, and I’mma die that way.”
