VIDEO: Lohan Ordered to Wear Alcohol Monitor

Lindsay Lohan, 23, was ordered by a California court to wear an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet Monday. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel issued the order after the actress failed to appear in a Beverly Hills hearing last week while attending the Cannes Film Festival in France. The Mean Girls star was photographed partying on a yacht late into the night on the same day she was supposed to be in court. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest, but Lohan’s lawyer posted bail. Lohan’s lawyer claims the actress’ passport was stolen in Cannes, which prevented the actress from flying out in time.

When Lohan appeared in court Monday, Revel further emphasized that she was prepared to read a statement listing her reasons for ordering the bracelet, drug tests, and an alcohol-education program for the actress. When asked whether she understood the court’s orders, the actress quietly said: "Yes, your honor" – her only statement in court. This is the second time the Lohan will be wearing the monitoring bracelet, the first one was in 2007 when she left the Promises rehab center in Malibu.

Lohan is scheduled to appear in court again on July 6 for a probation violation hearing. –KRIS ALCANTARA
