Adrienne Bailon, the former 3LW member and Cheetah Girls star, recently opened up about the consequences of appearing on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and finding out about Rob Kardashian’s cheating.

Adrienne Bailon On The Kardashians

If Bailon could do it over again, it looks like the singer and actress wouldn’t have agreed to appear on E!’s highly successful Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality show alongside her then-boyfriend Rob. As a consequence of being on the show, Bailon believes that her career suffered.

"To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career," Bailon told Latina magazine. "I probably realized that too late – not that it would’ve affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show.”

It eventually came out that Rob cheated, which was discussed on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and made public. Though it wasn’t a secret that Rob’s infidelity led to their breakup, Bailon reveals that she’s received a lot of criticism and blame for not making the relationship work.

“It’s common knowledge that he cheated on me, and it always bothered me that people were like, ‘Pero, why couldn’t you forgive him?’ Why are women always the ones who have to forgive? If you cheated on a man, he would be like, ‘You’re disgusting, and I want nothing to do with you,’” said Bailon, who is currently in a five-year relationship with Def Jam Records exec Lenny Santiago. “But women, we’re supposed to be like, ‘He messed up. He made a mistake.’ And, in my situation, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh my God! I made a mistake!’ He strategically planned things out so that he could cheat on me, and that to me was so disloyal.”

Kardashian Sisters Slam Bailon, Defend Rob

In response to Bailon’s interview with Latina, both Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian have taken to Twitter to respond to her comments. Kim posted a series of tweets claiming that the only reason she was interviewed was because of the connection to her family and condemning Bailon for talking about her brother while he’s going through a difficult time.

Khloe retweeted Kim, and when asked by a follower about the situation, she wrote, “thought [Adrienne] and I were cool SMH.”
