In addition to announcing the title for the seventh Star Wars film, Disney also revealed that the J.J. Abrams feature had wrapped principal photography last weekend.
On Nov. 1, Abrams and the rest of The Force Awakens cast and crew got together at London’s Science Museum to celebrate the culmination of the project. Participating in the revelry alongside newcomers to the franchise were its original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill.
Those new to the science-fiction cult favorite include Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Andy Serkis. They’ll appear alongside the aforementioned veterans, as well as longtime C-3PO and Chewbacca actors Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew, respectively.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is slated to hit theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
