Details of the sordid affair between wife of Jerry Falwell Jr., Becki Falwell, and a pool boy she met at a Florida hotel have been relieved in an explosive new book.

Former pool boy Giancarlo Granda‘s new book Off The Deep End: Jerry and Becki Falwell and the Collapse of an Evangelical Dynasty sheds light on the six-year relationship.

In 2020, when the controversy first was revealed Jerry Falwell Jr. stepped down from his position as president of the evangelical college Liberty University, which his father founded.

Becki allegedly approached Granda during a stay at the Fontainebleau Hotel, in Miami, back in 2012.

According to Granda, she offered sex but only if her husband could watch.

“I was conflicted. On the one hand, she was in her bikini, touching her neck, fussing with her hair, paying me compliments, sipping on her drink while she stared into my eyes. I found it all very intriguing,” an excerpt of Granda’s book reads.

According to the book, Granda had no idea who the two were until after the interaction.

The explosive revelations don’t stop as Granda’s book goes into detail about his first meeting with Jerry.

Jerry allegedly seemed nervous and “largely avoided eye contact.”

The evangelical leader wore a “speedo” during their first interaction.

“He shook my hand and said, “Nice to meet you, Gian,” with his thick southern accent. He pronounced Gian like ‘John,’ and this became his nickname for me for as long as I knew him.”

During their first sexual encounter, Granda describes the entire scene as odd as Falwell Jr. at some points seemed to be jealous, getting up from a chair to get closer angles.

“I told him to back off—not in a hostile way, just establishing some boundaries. He apologized and quickly walked back toward the entrance and stood right outside the bathroom,” Granda writes.

After the encounter, Granda believed it to be a one-time occurrence until he was contacted again by Becki. The relationship continued until 2018.

In the aftermath of the relationship, Jerry not only lost his job at Liberty University but was also sued by the institution for $10 million.

Falwell’s troubles started when he tweeted a photo of himself with unzipped pants with his arm around female assistant drew the attention of the University’s board of directors.

Granda has claimed harassment by Jerry in the past.

The book is set to be on store shelves on October 25.

A Hulu series, based on the same events, God Forbid: The Sex Scandal That Brought Down a Dynasty, is set for release on November 1.
