Zac Efron was hospitalized on Friday after suffering a “minor swimming accident” in Ibiza.

Efron sustained injuries while swimming in the pool at his villa, prompting two employees to pull him out of the water. He was transported to the hospital. He was released the following day, with a representative confirming that the actor is “fine.”

The High School Musical alum has been spending a lot of time in Europe over the past couple of weeks. He was photographed at the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics last month, and joined DJ Martin Garrix on stage in Ibiza on Thursday.

Efron seems to be prone to injuries. In 2022, he revealed he had broken his jaw a few years prior, resulting in a noticeable change in the actor’s jawline.

His transformation has caused rumors to circulate about plastic surgery. However, Efron has denied having any facial reconstruction procedures.

In 2014, Efron spoke exclusively to uInterview about working with Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan on the film That Awkward Moment.

“I know these guys, my best friends in the world I share things with that I can’t share with other people,” Efron told uInterview exclusively. “They teach me things, and I learn from them that nobody else could have taught me. They’re intelligent they’re funny, they’re charismatic, they’re nerds. We have a bond.”
