WATCH: Video Of Australian Spider Carrying A Mouse Goes Viral

A recent video captured a huntsman spider attempting to eat a mouse, which has become a viral sensation outside of Australia.

The huntsman spider eating a mouse is the new “pizza rat” of this year. The giant spider is still smaller in size than the mouse, but nonetheless tried to devour it in this terrifying video, which has already been viewed over 6.5 million times.

The man who captured the footage was Jason Wormal from Queensland. His neighbor called him over before to show him something incredible. You can hear Wormal in the background saying, “Man, that is so cool,” as he watches and chuckles.

While most comments were terrified refrains of “oh no,” some were worried for the spider’s well being.

“Ok guys so just letting you all know that the spider is fine,” Wormal posted. “We have named him Hermie, we have adopted him and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella. Oh and he is now paying rent. Lol.”
