Actor Danny Masterson, known for his role as Steven Hyde in That ’70s Show, has been sentenced to 30 years to life after being found guilty of two counts of rape.

The disgraced actor was arrested in 2020 and charged with three counts of rape that occurred between 2001 and 2003 in his Hollywood home. The trial began in October 2022, with three unidentified women testifying on their forced sexual encounters with Masterson. The jury deadlocked on November 2022 after unanimously voting on the charges against Masterson.

A retrial began earlier this year, where jurors found Masterson guilty of two of three rape charges. Judge Charlaine Olmedo sentenced Masterson to 30 years to life on Thursday in a Los Angeles Courthouse.

“This has been a long and arduous road for the victims of Mr. Masterson,” George Gascón, Los Angeles district attorney, said in a statement. “They not only survived his abuse, they also survived a system that is often not kind to victims.”
