Joe Biden Health Scare: Nodule Found On Ex-President’s Prostate, Requires ‘Further Evaluation’

Doctors found a small nodule on former President Joe Biden‘s prostate.

“In a routine physical exam, a small nodule was found in the prostate, which necessitated further evaluation,” a spokesperson for Biden said.

A nodule is a firm lump or swelling that can develop throughout the body. Even though they can be benign and harmless, some can be connected to bigger health concerns, such as infections or cancer.

A small nodule could mean various things. Understanding the underlying cause will require additional testing. It is too soon to say if it is a benign lump caused by inflammation or something more severe.

In February 2023, during his time as president, Biden had a lesion removed from his chest, which was cancerous. Before he entered office, he had several non-melanoma skin cancers removed with surgery.

“As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma,” White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor stated. “All cancerous tissue was successfully removed.

“No further treatment is required,” O’Connor added.

“Basal cell carcinoma lesions do not tend to ‘spread’ or metastasize, as some more serious skin cancers, such as melanoma or squamous cell carcinoma, are known to do,” he noted. “They do, however, have the potential to increase in size, resulting in a more significant issue and increased challenges for surgical removal.”

In February 2024, after a routine physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the doctor declared him “fit to serve.”

The news of the nodule comes the same day that newly published excerpts from the book Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, written by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios‘ Alex Thompson, assert that Biden’s health was so poor that, in 2023 and 2024, aides were discussing the possibility of him needing a wheelchair if he was reelected.

An Axios article published by Thompson on Tuesday quoted an excerpt from the book, which will be released on May 20. He said that “Biden’s physical deterioration—most apparent in his halting walk—had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting the president in a wheelchair, but they couldn’t do so until after the election.”

On July 17, 2024, the White House announced that Biden tested positive for COVID-19, which caused him to cancel a campaign event in Las Vegas and likely kept him isolated for several days.

According to the book 2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America, which will be released in July, Biden’s campaign team decided not to have him take a cognitive test in February 2024. They were concerned that taking the test would raise more questions about his age.
