Former Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan has been blacklisted from the New York City restaurant Tucci.

Morgan went out to dinner at an expensive Italian establishment over the weekend. She made a scene when the bill came to almost $1,000, as she had expected the lavish meal to be on the house.

A source present for Morgan’s outburst told Page Six, “She was absolutely hysterical and refused to pay. It was like she was filming a Housewives episode, shouting, ‘I’m a celebrity!’”

Another onlooker said, “She was like, ‘I don’t pay; people pay me [to go to their restaurants].’ She was absolutely entitled and caused a scene about not paying.”

Morgan apparently even dialed the restaurant owner, Max Tucci, to complain, but he refused to comp her.

Tucci has previously given Morgan free meals, and amid criticism of Morgan, many have pointed out that, while her reaction was over-the-top, it is not unreasonable to assume her dinner would be comped as it was in the past.

Morgan also purportedly made a poor impression on the restaurant earlier when she arranged a reservation for three and arrived with a party of five. The Bravo star and her friends were reportedly out to dinner and drinks before going to her cousin Jack Morgan’s birthday celebration.

Although Morgan reportedly paid the bill, with a tip, by Monday, her tantrum still resulted in her being banned from the New York hotspot.

Speaking to Page Six, Tucci asserted, “It’s not about me. Don’t do that to my staff…The cost of everything is so expensive right now, and she’s just taking advantage…There was no arrangement for her to have a comped dinner. She just wanted free food and service.”

Morgan has also spoken out about the controversy, stating, “There was a clear miscommunication…I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post.”

Morgan appeared in season 13 of Real Housewives of New York City in 2021.
