Singer Brian McKnight‘s ex-wife and estranged children are speaking out after McKnight called them a product of sin.” The comments came from a video McKnight shared to his Instagram about getting rid of negativity, “even if that evil and negativity is related [to you],” McKnight stated.

One of McKnight’s biological children, Niko McKnight, wrote on social media, “I’m evil. That’s wild. The guy who used to make me clean his used condoms out his bathroom at 15 before Lisa got home is calling me evil.”

Niko went on to discuss his father and siblings further. He acknowledged that he and his siblings were “bad children,” but his sisters “deserved better.”

Niko, who is currently battling cancer, also said on X that when he was in the hospital, he hoped McKnight could tell him he loved him. McKnight allegedly told him “he couldn’t arbitrarily tell me he loves me.”

“Still cuts so deep,” Niko added.

In her Instagram video, McKnight’s ex-wife, Julie McKnight, addressed the situation, saying her ex-husband acted like a “kid who throws tantrums.”

She stated, “The point at the end of every negative situation, whether it’s an illness, whether it’s a fool that you have to deal with because they keep entering your life when you are no longer giving any more energy to it, it’s to only keep you down to where they thought they had you because they were the author of an extremely abusive situation emotionally, mentally.”

“And they’re no good at not being the center of that attention anymore,” she added. “So when everybody pulls that away, it’s like a kid who throws a tantrum.”

McKnight has been estranged from the four children he shares with Julie for years. He remarried to Leilani Malia Mendoza in 2017 and now refers to the children he shares with Mendoza as his only children. McKnight also legally changed his name to become a senior to his infant son with Mendoza.

McKnight already has a son with Julie named Brian McKnight, Jr.
