Madonna Recovering At Home After Being Found ‘Unresponsive’ With Bacterial Infection
Madonna is recovering at home after being rushed to the hospital last week.
Before her hospitalization, the Queen of Pop was found unresponsive, which was later discovered to have resulted from a “serious bacterial infection.” Upon arrival at the hospital, Madonna was intubated and placed in the ICU for one night.
The Grammy winner was preparing for her Celebration Tour, which was set to begin on July 15 in Vancouver. Her health scare, however, has postponed the tour.
Her longtime friend, Rosie O’Donnell, shared a throwback picture of the both of them over the weekend from the 1992 film A League of Their Own.
A fan asked O’Donnell for an update on her singer friend’s health, and she replied that Madonna “is recovering at home” and that “she is very strong in general.”
The Grammy winner is said to be recovering with love and support from family and friends surrounding her.
Madonna’s numerous fans left her messages of comfort on her social media accounts. While some are awaiting her return onstage, others are encouraging her to cancel the tour in fear for her health.
“Get well soon, Madonna, we need you,” one fan wrote.

“I say cancel this tour altogether,” another fan suggested. “True Madonna fans will understand and support her doing that. Her health is way more important.”
“Madonna, if you read this, know that we don’t care if you never ever release a new single, or if you never put your feet on a stage again, we want you to be healthy more than anything,” a third person commented.
Rescheduled dates for Madonna’s The Celebration tour have yet to be announced.
