Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, has reached out to her ex-husband following her split from President Donald Trump‘s eldest son.

Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. were together from 2021 to late 2024. The announcement of their uncoupling was shortly followed by the introduction to Trump Jr.’s new girlfriend, Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, whom he immediately appeared to be suspiciously close to given the short length of their relationship.

While Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. officially broke up at the end of last year, news outlets captured photos of Trump Jr. and Anderson cozied up together at the end of the summer. In the days following Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle’s breakup, it was rumored Anderson asked Trump Jr. to “get rid of” Guilfoyle so that their relationship could continue smoothly. Fittingly, just days later, Trump announced that Guilfoyle had been selected to be his ambassador to Greece.

Prior to her relationship with Trump Jr., Guilfoyle was married to Gavin Newsom from 2001 to 2006 while Newsom was mayor of San Francisco.

Newsom has been torched by some Los Angeles residents due to his lack of attention to the recent wildfire devastation. His reputation among liberals further deteriorated at the announcement that he would be launching a podcast, entitled This Is Gavin Newsom and featuring “spirited discussions” with notable Republican and Trump figures.

Ahead of the first episode, Newsom posted a photo of himself with MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk, best known for arguing with liberal college students on social media videos.

Kirk shared with Fox 11, “I got a phone call from Gov. Newsom two weeks ago, we connected through Kimberly Guilfoyle – obviously, they have a shared past…”

Newsom’s interview with Kirk saw the Democratic governor agree with the ultra-Republican on a variety of conservative issues, such as the belief that transgender athletes should be excluded from sports.

With Republicans in control of the White House, Newsom’s podcast has widely been regarded as an attempt to market himself as a centrist to appeal to moderate voters. As his term as governor comes to a close in 2026, Newsom is expected to run for president in 2028.

Kirk told Fox, “This is a guy who wants to be president more than any other human being alive.“
