Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Expecting Their Fourth Child Via Surrogate

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are expanding their family and are expecting their fourth child together via surrogate.

According to a source that is close with the couple, the rapper and reality star had been thinking and discussing their plans for expanding their family over the past year.

“Kim and Kanye started talking about a fourth baby before they even left the hospital with Chicago,” the source told People about the pair who’s child they had via surrogate and will be turning one on January 15. 

“They absolutely loved their surrogate and were so happy with how smoothly everything went,” the source continued about the stars who also share, son Saint, 3, and daughter North, 5. 

“Having a big family makes Kanye so happy,” the source added. “The smiles on his face when he’s around his kids are so sweet. He was definitely on board with another baby, and so was Kim. This was always the goal for their family.”

Another People source also revealed that West and Kardashian West have “always talked about wanting four kids: two boys and two girls.” 

“That’s always been the plan,” the source said, adding that the couple was “over the moon” over the news of their fourth child being on the way.

Last year in an April cover interview with Elle, Kardashian West said that her home and heart were “full,” but that she wasn’t ruling out another baby and would draw the line at four kids. “I don’t think I could handle more than that. My time is spread really thin,” she told Elle. “And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.”

Last month at her new KKW Beauty and Fragrance pop-up shop in Costa Mesa, California, Kardashian West also played coy about her plans for another child with West.

“Three is a lot, [but] you never know,” she told ET. “My mom [Kris Jenner] kind of prepped me [for what having three kids was like], and it was crazy because when everyone found out that I was having a third, everyone had a crazy story… like, ‘Two was great, but three, you are outnumbered. You are exhausted’… Like, all of these nightmare stories. [Having a brother for Saint] would be nice. It really would, but I’m very full right now.”
