Kanye West Released From The Hospital

Rapper Kanye West has been released from the hospital, more than a week after he was admitted for exhaustion.

West was checked into the hospital, reportedly for exhaustion from a “spiritual crisis” last week, after police responded to a call for help. This occurred following a series of personal and political rants West made on tour and the eventual cancelation of the rest of his tour. He had recently added a string of new tour dates.

Recordings of the call to dispatchers were released today, in which the caller asserted that West is “definitely going to need to be hospitalized.” The man on the phone identified himself as one of West’s physicians. Parts of the recording was redacted to keep medical information private, but the dispatcher was heard telling the caller, “Don’t let him get any weapons.”

West has been under tremendous pressure, from his world tour, to the robbery at gunpoint of his wife Kim Kardashian in Paris. She still has not made a public appearance since. Kardashian was supposed to appear at the Angel Ball where her late father, Robert Kardashian, was being honored, but had to cancel last minute to tend to her husband in the hospital.
