'Gone Girl,' Starring Ben Affleck, Releases First Trailer
The first trailer for Gone Girl, the highly-anticipated thriller starring Ben Affleck, was released on Tuesday.
Gone Girl Trailer Released
In Gone Girl, Affleck plays a husband whose wife goes missing. Following her disappearance, he’s haunted by visions of her as he finds himself as both a suspect of the police and a fascination of the media and public. Directed by David Fincher, the film is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s haunting novel of the same name. Flynn also wrote the film’s screenplay.
The trailer for Gone Girl is sparse on dialogue, setting the tone of the film through glimpses of an at times tense-at times loving marriage between Affleck’s character Nick Dunne and his wife Amy Dunne, played by Rosamund Pike. In the background of the somewhat chilling trailer plays Richard Butler’s cover of Charles Aznavour’s “She.”
Also starring in Gone Girl are Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle, Tyler Perry and Sela Ward.
Gone Girl is set to premiere Oct. 3.
