Kimberly Guilfoyle was awkwardly spotted at the same pre-inauguration event as her ex-fiancé Donald Trump Jr. and his new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson. Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. attended a candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum while Anderson, Trump Jr.’s new romantic interest, stayed close by his side.

Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle, who had been engaged since January 2022, broke up after rumors surfaced of Trump Jr.’s new relationship with Anderson, the Florida socialite. Despite the breakup, sources emphasize that it was not contentious. One insider described their split as “amicable” and clarified that it was “not going to blow up.”

Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. had been together since 2018, shortly after Trump Jr.’s divorce from his wife Vanessa. Their relationship, though marked by an extended engagement, was said to have been in a “holding pattern” for some time before they decided to part ways. Even after the split, the Trump family reportedly remains fond of Guilfoyle, describing her as “very intelligent, very smart, very loyal,” and noting her longstanding connection with the family, especially with the president himself.

Sources suggest that Anderson, a model from Palm Beach, fits the mold of someone who would impress Trump Jr.’s father, echoing the past dynamics with Melania Trump. But some have suggested she might not be conservative enough for the MAGA crowd.

Trump Jr. and Anderson reportedly waited for the 2024 election to pass before making their relationship more public, with some sources claiming they wanted to minimize any potential distractions. Additionally, Trump Jr. is said to have taken Anderson on a trip to Alaska while still in a relationship with Guilfoyle, which Guilfoyle apparently “looked the other way” about.

Despite the breakup, Guilfoyle remained involved with Trump’s campaign. In December 2024, President-elect Donald Trump nominated her for the position of U.S. Ambassador to Greece, citing her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics. On December 10, 2024, Trump Jr. posted on Twitter, expressing his pride in Guilfoyle: “I am so proud of Kimberly. She loves America and she always has wanted to serve the country as an Ambassador. She will be an amazing leader for America First.”
