David Bowie has been cremated and his ashes spread across Bali in accordance with his Buddhist beliefs. The singer died earlier this month after an 18 month battle with cancer. He was 69.

HIs will was recently filed in Manhattan, leaving most of his estate to his wife, Iman, and his two children, Duncan Jones and Alexandria. Bowie left his $20 million Soho home to his wife and his children each were given 25 percent. Alexandria was also given his Ulster County home. The late singer gave his long time assistant, Corinne Swab, $2 million and his share of Opossum Inc. He also gave $1 million to Alexandria’s nanny, Marion Skene.

The singer prepared his will in 2004 and his body was cremated on Jan. 12 in New Jersey.

Two days before his death, his last album, Blackstar was released. It was his 25th studio album and  is currently at the top of the US iTunes chart. The album has seven songs. The video for “Blackstar” was released on Nov. 19.

Bowie also produced an off-Broadway play starring Michael C. Hall called Lazarus.
