Brian Laundrie, the fiancee of YouTube star Gabby Petitio, is still missing after last being seen over a week ago.

Laundrie went on a nature hike in Florida more than a week ago but hasn’t returned since.

According to Laundrie’s family attorney, the parents don’t know the whereabouts of their son.

Chris and Roberta Laundrie do not know where Brian is,” attorney Steve Bertolino said in a statement. “They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him.”

Laundrie was on a cross-country road trip with Petito during the summer until he returned with her caravan to his Florida home on September 11. Petitio was not with him when he returned and her family filed a report after not hearing from her and receiving odd text messages from her phone. Authorities have named him a person of interest after the remains of Petito were found in Wyoming. The coroner said it appeared Peitio died sometime between August 27 and August 30. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Laundrie left on September 14 for a nature hike at the Carlton Reserve. North Port authorities have been searching the area but are worried about the current conditions of the reserve.

“This is dangerous work for the search crews as they are wading through gator and snake-infested swamps and flooded hiking and biking trails,” North Port Police spokesman Josh Taylor said in a news release.

Authorities have also issued a federal warrant for his arrest after Laundrie used unauthorized credit cards following Petito’s disappearance.

When Laundrie arrived home from his trip, he refused to speak with investigators about Petito’s whereabouts. His parents also refused to speak to authorities about their son.

Peitio’s case has caught the interest of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, who has taken it upon himself to also look for Laundrie. He is working with authorities to share information and claims he has received thousands of tips from the public on Laudrie’s possible location.
