Megan Thee Stallion, whose Megan Pete, has sued the blogger Milagro Gramz (born Milagro Elizabeth Cooper) for harassment and “churning out falsehoods” in relation to the 2020 shooting at Pete by Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson).

Peterson was convicted in December 2022 on three felony counts for the violent incident, in which he shot at Pete’s feet while the two were engaged in an argument following Kylie Jenner’s pool party in Hollywood Hill. He was sentenced in August 2023.

The court documents claim that Cooper “acts as a paid surrogate” for Peterson in order to “denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements” for Peterson’s benefit. Pete’s lawyers filed the lawsuit against Cooper on Oct. 30, in Florida.

Pete’s lawsuit alleges that Cooper shared a “deepfake pornographic video” of her on X, as well as spread rumors that Pete had a “severe drinking problem” and classified her as an “angry black woman” and “lying a– h–”.

Pete also asserts that Cooper, “falsely claimed that the firearm Mr. Peterson used to shoot Ms. Pete was not produced during the trial because it was missing.” The document accuses Cooper of continually denying that Peterson had shot Pete despite Peterson’s ten-year prison sentence.

Pete’s lawyers wrote, “Ms. Pete—a victim of violent crime and champion of women’s rights to her millions of fans worldwide—will no longer stand for the defendant’s campaign of harassment.”

Pete gave a statement to Billboard regarding the lawsuit, in which she declared it to be “time to hold bloggers accountable.”

She stated, “I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists…It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”

Cooper acknowledged the lawsuit on X, and wrote she had “been informed that I’m being sued by Alex Spiro on behalf of his client Megan Thee Stallion…of course we’ll chat about it.”
