Donald Trump Says ‘It’s Always Unpleasant’ Telling His Wife Melania New Indictment News
In a radio interview on Friday, Donald Trump talked about how his wife, Melania, reacted to the reports of his indictments. “It’s always unpleasant when you have to go in and tell your wife that ‘by the way, tomorrow, sometime, I’m going to be indicted,'” Trump said on The John Fredericks Show. “And she says, ‘For what?’ And I say, ‘I have no idea. I have absolutely no idea.'”
Trump has been indicted twice. The first was for allegedly falsifying business records related to the hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels while the second centered around Trump’s storage of classified government documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
On Thursday, the Justice Department accused Trump of trying to delete security footage at his Florida home in relation to the documents.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is also investigating the former president’s actions related to the January 6 Capitol riot and his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump has denied any criminality in all the charges against him.
