Kevin Costner’ Wife, Christine Baumgartner, Files For Divorce After 18 Years Together, Won’t Get Spousal Support
Actor and director Kevin Costner is splitting up with his third wife Christine Baumgartner after she filed for divorce.
The Dances with Wolves Oscar winner had been married to Baumgartner for 18 years, with whom he has three children. Reportedly, Costner will not be offering spousal support due to a prenup in place. However, she is requesting there be joint custody of their children.
Costner had been married twice before and has four children from the previous marriages. He has yet to personally comment on the divorce at this time, although Costner already has other drama to navigate.
Yellowstone, the popular Western drama from Paramount, is ending after its fifth season this year. Despite being one of the biggest shows on television and even earning Costner a Golden Globe for his performance, it appears that creative differences between the star and creator reached a boiling point.

Drama between Costner and series creator Taylor Sheridan, also known for his work on the films Sicario and Hell or High Water, led to the decision to end the series in 2023. Yellowstone is so successful, however, that it spawned other spinoff series produced by Sheridan: 1883, 1923 and the upcoming 6666.
