Jessica Biel and her husband Justin Timberlake both arrived at the premiere of Biel’s newest crime drama show, Candy, at El Capitan Theatre, Los Angeles, in sleek looks that show you can never go wrong with the classics.

Biel blurred the line between casual and couture by donning a plain white crop top with a pair of matching white palazzo pants from Giambattista Valli.

To give her all-white ensemble a touch of sparkle, she accented her look by layering personalized chain and pendant necklaces from FoundRae, channeling a sense of subtle glamour. She also wore mini signet rings to the carpet, a trend that is shaping up to be one of the style staples of this fall season.

Biel’s husband and musician, Justin Timberlake, also brought casual cool to the premiere in a contrasting black suit. He appeared alongside the actress in a crisp and unembellished outfit of his own.

He took a similar minimalistic approach with the suit jacket’s single button and sleek stick lapel pin, demonstrating that it doesn’t need to take much to look dapper.

Underneath Timberlake’s jacket is a peek of a more playful button-down with a printed white paisley pattern that adds a smart geometric aspect to his otherwise blank canvas. He also dons a rivière, an accessory that has garnered recent widespread appreciation for its ability to elevate an outfit.

Because Biel opted for understated chic, it’s easy to recreate her look for less. You can find similar white crop tops in flattering cuts at Aritzia for $40 and wide-legged pants at Zara for $70.

The ensemble’s casualness lends to its versatility and can transition effortlessly for a day-to-night outfit. You can also choose to dress it up like Biel does by mixing and matching delicate pre-layered necklaces from Urban Outfitters for $25.

Candy, which stars Biel as the homemaker-turned-ax-murderer and the show’s namesake Candy Montgomery, premiered last Monday and is Hulu’s newest limited miniseries.
