On Tuesday, police arrested Chad Daybell after they found human remains on his property in Idaho. The remains have now been identified as children and they are likely Lori Vallow’s missing children: Joshua “JJ” Vallow and Tylee Ryan.

The children’s autopsies are currently pending.

As of now, Daybell faces felony counts of destroying and concealing evidence. His bail was set at $1 million on Wednesday.

Fox 10’s Justin Lum reported that the special prosecutor handling the case, Rob Wood, found the concealment of at least one of the bodies “to be particularly egregious.”

Vallow’s children were last seen in September of 2019 and then were reported missing by their grandparents. Daybell and Vallow got married in November of 2019, a month after Daybell’s previous wife, Tammy, died at home.

The results of Tammy’s autopsy have yet to be released.

In July of 2019, Vallow’s husband, Charles, was shot and killed by her brother, Alex Cox. Charles had previously filed for divorce with the claim that he was afraid Vallow might kill him. After Charles’s death, Vallow moved to Rexburg, Idaho with her children.

Vallow is also currently in custody in Idaho and remains held on a $1 million bail. She was arrested in Hawaii in February after she failed to meet the court-ordered deadline of bringing her children to authorities in Rexburg, Idaho.

This new discovery has added to the list of suspicious details and happenings in the lives of both Daybell and Vallow.
