Shawn Mendes Released New Music From His Upcoming Third Album
Singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes has released two new singles “In My Blood” and “Lost In Japan” and fans are getting emotional.
Mendes, 19, released the songs on Thursday and Friday, stirring excitement for his upcoming third album. Before releasing “In My Blood,” he shared a statement on Instagram saying, “I know I’ve been pretty quiet during this album process and I just wanted to thank you with all of my heart for being there and supporting me the entire time.”

With two songs released, fans have shared their excitement over Mendes’s new music.
Even other artists have shared their admiration for Mendes’s new singles. Singer Halsey tweeted that “In My Blood” is “Shawn meets Kings of Leon dreamy dream.”
Boyband BROCKHAMPTON’s front runner Kevin Abstract shared his love for both songs when they were released.
Charlie Puth, who toured with Mendes last year, also shared his approval for “Lost In Japan.”
Mendes is glad that his new music is getting such positive responses, as he is trying to make more mature music for his next album. “The only way we’re going to step up—regardless of my singing or the ways the melodies are or production—the only way things are going to get better is if it’s more honest.'” he said in an interview. “You know what I mean? How raw can we get? Let’s work back from there.'”
