Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter, Violet, was recently seen flaunting $800 shoes, just weeks following backlash that the nepo baby was overlooking her privilege.

On Monday, Violet was seen on a coffee run dressed in Chloe Nama shoes that have a price tag of about $800. Additionally, just last week, she was seen on an outing with a vintage Chloe Marcie Bucket Bag, valued at roughly $1,000. A few days earlier, she was also seen with an expensive Marc Jacobs bag, costing somewhere between $200 and $300.

Last month, Violet wrote an essay for a Yale class entitled, “A Chronically Ill Earth: COVID Organizing as a Model Climate Response in Los Angeles,” in which she shared her thoughts on the dangers of climate change – the details of which many thought she should have kept private.

The essay was published in her school’s Global Health Review on May 18, and Violet focused much of the essay on the period of time in January when her family was forced to evacuate their home and stay in a luxury hotel due to the rampant L.A. fires.

Violet has long been involved in advocacy regarding climate change and public health, such as mask mandates, and her woke opinions come as no surprise. In her essay for school about climate change, she shared that the LA fires had left her mother “shell-shocked, astonished at the scale of destruction in the neighborhood where she raised myself and my siblings.” However, Violet said that her mother’s reaction had left Violet “surprised at her surprise.”

She wrote, “As a lifelong Angelena and climate-literate member of generation Z, my question had not been whether the Palisades would burn but when.”

Violet went on to explain that the climate crisis is “driven by unsustainable consumption patterns concentrated among the wealthiest citizens of the wealthiest countries, all of which have already subjected most of this country and the world to deadly temperatures, fire-flood cycles, rising seas, and dying crops.”

Violet’s essay was quickly slammed by various outlets for seeming preachy and offering an exceedingly privileged perspective on the damage climate change is wreaking across the globe. The Daily Mail columnist Amber Duke raged that Violet was simply trying to “atone for the sin of being born to rich, beautiful parents by doing her best Greta Thunberg impression.”
