Stephen Colbert made quite the entrance at the Republican National Convention, crashing the stage dressed as the flamboyant Caesar Flickerman character from The Hunger Games films.

Stephen Colbert At The RNC

Colbert donned a black bedazzled jacket, cravat, electric blue hair and matching cerulean eyebrows for his stunt at the RNC Monday. The Late Show host took the opportunity of there being a vacant stage to get on the mic.

“[Donald Trump] has formed an alliance with Indiana Governor Mike Pence,” Colbert said. “It is my honor to hereby launch and begin the 2016 Republican hungry for power games.”

It wasn’t long before a member of the RNC security staff joined Colbert on stage and pushed him away from the mic and off the platform. Before he was shooed away, however, Colbert delivered this zinger: “Look, I’m not supposed to be here, but let’s be honest, neither is Donald Trump.”

Donald Trump, the New York City real-estate mogul is the Republican nominee for the 2016 presidential election. The polarizing businessman-turned-politician will formally accept the nomination this week at the RNC, which is being held in Cleveland, Ohio.
