John Mayer Develops TV Show

Singer John Mayer may be following in the footsteps of Donnie Osmond by getting his own music variety/sketch show on CBS. Mayer and the network are close to inking a deal, it was reported on Wednesday. Mayer has previously appeared in an episode of CBS's CSI and in 2004, produced a talk show/comedy show for VH1, John Mayer Has a TV Show. Meanwhile, at Showtime, it was announced that the L Word spinoff would focus on Leisha Hailey's character, who will be be sent to jail this season. (Photo: WENN)
