Katherine Heigl's Baby '100% Fine' After Surgery

Katherine Heigl‘s adopted daughter, Naleigh, underwent open-heart surgery before leaving her homeland to repair a congenital heart problem. “Her heart is 100 percent fine now," Heigl tells Harper’s Bazaar. "She has a scar, so she won’t be wearing bikinis, which is fine by us.”

Heigl and husband Josh Kelley picked Naleigh especially because she was in a special need catgeory. “A lot of children don’t find forever homes because they’re on that special-needs list, even if it’s because of something as simple as her mother smoked cigarettes for a month, not knowing she was pregnant," Heigl says. "That’s not so huge that you couldn’t handle it.”

Heigl, who left her role on Grey‘s to focus on her daughter, is now starring in The Killers with Ashton Kutcher.
