Eddie Cibrian Injured On Set Of Canceled Playboy Club
Actor Eddie Cibrian was injured Tuesday night on the set of The Playboy Club, which incidentally was just canceled by NBC after three episodes of low ratings, the Chicago Sun-Times. Cibrian, 38, who is married to country singer LeAnn Rimes, reportedly received a deep gash on his right heel when it was caught under a 200-lb. steel door. He was taken from the show's Chicago set to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The Playboy Club, a period drama about the early days of the adult magazine Playboy, is continuing to film despite the fact that NBC announced Tuesday it would no longer air the show. The creators are hoping another network will air the series, which premiered on Sept. 20 with low ratings and poor reviews.
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner expressed disappointment via Twitter about the show's cancelation, adding that he thought the show deserved a network with an audience more amenable to mature content. "I'm sorry NBC's The Playboy Club didn't find its audience," Hefner tweeted. "It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience."

That was quick.
Definitely wasn't expecting this show to stay on the air long.
