Madonna, 53, has borne her share of recent criticism, both for her relationship with the much younger Brahim Zaibat, 24, and for her controversial new movie, W.E., which examines the romance between King Edward VIII of England and American divorcee Wallis Simpson through the eyes of a contemporary woman who is unhappy in her own relationship.

Zaibat and Madonna made a rare appearance together at the New York premiere of W.E., also accompanied by her daughter, Lourdes, 15. Shortly after, the French dancer, who met his famous paramour when he danced for her at her clothing line launch party in September 2010, talked about his shared passions with the superstar.

"Madonna has always been passionate about [dance]," Zaibat told OK! Magazine. "Her childhood dream was to become a dancer. It gives us one more thing in common."

Though it's been established that both love to dance, it's possible that Zaibat would prefer to get down to some different tunes. His lady's music "is not the kind of music I [prioritize] in my iPod," he revealed. "But like everyone else, I know her hit songs."

Madonna also recently said a few words about her controversial relationship. "I didn't choose to — you know, I didn't write down on a piece of paper, 'I'm now going to have a relationship with a younger man,'" she told Nightline. "That's just what happened. You see, that's the romantic in me. I just met someone that I cared for, and this happened to be his age."

The Material Girl and mother of four also admits that she falls for the fairy tale story every now and then, even though she's not sure she entirely buys it. "If you're a romantic like me, and every girl I know is, every girl wants to be swept off her feet by a knight in shining armor," she told Graham Norton, reports the UK's Daily Mail. "Unfortunately we're raised on those fairy tales. Even if we are sophisticated, educated, intelligent, evolved human beings, we like to think in the back of our minds that Mr. Right is going to sweep us off our feet and take us into the sunset, and we're going to live happily ever after," she said.

Just as long as it doesn't matter what Mr. Right keeps on his iPod.
