Jon Hamm was reportedly told he needed to wear underwear while filming scenes for Mad Men’s next season, so as not to cause a frenzy among the show's cast, crew and future viewers.

“This season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and leave little to the imagination,” a source told the New York Daily News. “Jon’s impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear.”

Apparently Jon’s large endowment caused additional work for the marketing team of Mad Men. According to the insider, they had to Photoshop promotional posters, billboards and ad campaigns during Seasons 1 and 2 of the show.

“Imagine how distracting that would be on the side of a bus or building,” the source joked. “When the promotional pictures came back the first few seasons, we had to work with them. Everyone was concerned about too much Christina Hendricks' boobs, but it’s Jon that has the most to show. It’s a good problem to have.”

The alleged insider went on to claim, “His privates are the inside joke. [Jon] knows what he’s got.” However, Hamm’s rep doesn’t appear to be in on the joke.

“It is ridiculous and not really funny at all," the rep told the New York Daily News. "I’d appreciate you taking the high road and not resorting to something childish like this that’s been blogged about 1,000 times.”

Hamm, for his part, has not confirmed or denied the rumors. When asked about them on Wednesday night he coolly told omg!, “I don’t need to talk about that.”
