The Voice continues on Night 2 of the battle rounds. The coaches guide their team in the right direction with help by celebrity advisors.

‘The Voice’ Season 10 Episode 7 Recap

The first pairing of the night was Team Christina’s Shalyah Fearing and Tamar Davis singing “Lady Marmalade,” a song that their advisor Patti LaBelle once sang. Their voices blended so well together. Aguilera chooses Davis as the winner and Fearing is stolen for Pharrell’s team.

Team Blake’s Mary Sarah and Justin Whisnant create their own rendition of “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man.” Aguilera liked how they were two different singers and had really nice style. Williams appreciated the colorful vibrato. Shelton picks Mary Sarah and Whisnant is sent home.

Coach Adam Levine describes how the coaches only get two steals throughout the season and wants to use them wisely.

Jessica Crosbie and Nick Hagelin from Team Pharrell sing their own version of MGMT’s “Electric Feel.” It was soulful and a fun song choice that shows their versatility. Shelton and Aguilera both said they would pick Hagelin from his falsetto and surprising high notes. Hagelin moves on with Team Pharrell. Levine steals Crosbie in remembering her blind audition.

“Jessica’s got a lot of power and consistency,” Levine said.

Team Christina’s Chelsea Gann and Kata Hay put up a powerful battle in “I’m The Only One.” They gave it the edgy sound with their country twang. They balanced each other out with Gann’s beautiful upper register and Hay’s strong lower notes. When describing Hay, Levine referred to her as a firecracker. Aguilera called them both powerhouses but ended up picking Hay.

Nate Butler and Natalie Yacovazzi from Team Adam sing their advisor Tori Kelly’s “Hollow”. Shelton thought that Yacovazzi has the originiality while Butler has the pitch-perfect voice. Levine chooses Butler to move forward on his team.

Team Pharrell’s Hannah Huston and Maya Smith sing “Elastic Heart.” Their advisor, P. Diddy, wants to see the roommates become two divas on the stage. Aguilera thought the two sang it “so confidently and so well.” Pharrell picks Huston to stay on his team while Aguilera and Shelton fight for Smith. Smith decides to choose Team Christina.
