Skullcandy’s Ink’d Wireless: A Great Bluetooth Earbuds Bargain
Skullcandy’s thrown its hat into the wireless headphone ring with the new Ink’d Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds. The Utah-based company faces competition from products released by Samsung, Bose and Sennheiser, but the affordable price of the Ink’d Wireless gives them an edge.
The Ink’d Wireless are not completely wireless, as the set features a wire that connects both earbuds behind the head, as well as a neck band. At 24 grams, however, they are featherlight and the flex collar is pretty flexible. CNET reported, “The first thing you’ll notice about the Ink’d Wireless is that it’s very lightweight. If you have a collared shirt on, you’ll barely feel it around your neck. The band’s got some flexibility to it.”
It runs on Bluetooth Wireless and allows users up to 30-feet of roaming space. Supreme Sound and noise-isolating ear gels deliver clear sound to listeners. There’s an eight-hour battery life for extended listening or phone calls. The controls on the flex collar’s integrated remote are easy to operate and conveniently double as call control buttons.
Critics have called out the visual look of the thing which, admittedly, bears some resemblance the headset a telemarketer might wear. But, these budget Bluetooth headphones are a great investment for the price. The lightweight earbuds are available in black, white, red and royal blue.
