Leonel Moreno, the Venezuelan migrant who became a TikTok influencer, has finally been deported back to his country. Moreno, who offered tips on how to invade homes on TikTok, was sent back to Venezuela via plane last week after President Donald Trump proceeded with deportation flights to the country.

Once Trump returned to the White House and commenced his mass deportation campaign, Venezuela started allowing the U.S. deportation flights to land again. Venezuela paused flights after Trump introduced new tariffs but relented again last week.

The controversial influencer, who, in September 2024, was ordered to be deported from the U.S. by an Ohio-based judge, was moved to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center in Conroe, Texas, on Feb. 26 to prepare for his deportation.

Venezuela’s Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, said last week that the illegal immigrant was welcomed back.

Moreno disrupted the flight and disturbed the other passengers. To calm tensions, he needed to be placed in his own section of the plane with extra security.

After Moreno stepped off the flight, he gave a thumbs up and received a pat on the shoulder from a security official escorting him off of the plane.

In March 2024, Moreno was arrested by ICE in Ohio after having been hunted by ICE ever since he crossed the border illegally at Eagle Pass, Texas, in April 2022. Following his arrest, he had been held at Geauga County Jail.

He was released as part of the Alternatives to Detention Program, which lets migrants on parole go free while officials track them electronically until their next court date. He was due in Miami court in November 2022 but never showed up.
