Sen. Ted Cruz Heckled At Yankees Game & Protested At ‘The View’ Appearance
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has been in New York for the past few days, and New Yorkers have not been welcoming to the conservative senator.
Videos of baseball fans heckling the politician at last night’s Houston Astros vs. Yankees game went viral, and an appearance Cruz made on The View was disrupted by protestors.
In one of the more popular videos from Yankee Stadium, protestors are heard shouting “F––k you, you racist piece of sh–t,” Cruz’s way as he finds a seat.
The man filming this video also made a low blow by yelling, “Remember when Trump called your wife ugly, and then you nominated him?”
The next day, Cruz was booked for an interview on The View, which some fans didn’t appreciate given his increasingly-incendiary stances and attempts to deny the 2020 election results.
There were also protestors who were aiming their anger not just at Cruz, but at the network ABC for choosing to host him and for their coverage of the climate crisis.
Activists part of the organization New York Communities for Change stood up in the show’s studio audience shouting, “Cover climate now!”
“ABC spent less than six hours last year covering climate change, and now they’re platforming someone like Ted Cruz whose climate denial is resulting in terrible policies,” a protestor is heard saying as a producer attempts to walk her out.
Cruz was ignoring the protestors and continued answering the question through the disruption. At the end of the video, host Whoopi Goldberg yells out from the stage, “Let us do our job, let us do our job!”
