VIDEO: Satellite Images Show North Korean Destroyer Covered By Tarps Following Failed Launch
A North Korean destroyer warship was damaged during a failed launch attempt from a shipyard in Chongjin, North Korea, on May 21. Satellite images captured by Maxar Technologies show the ship on May 18, before the launch, and after the launch on May 23, 24 and 25, when the ship was covered in blue tarps and surrounded by smaller vessels, structures and debris. Reports citing North Korea’s state news agency, the Korean Central News Agency, said three dockyard officials were detained following the incident. (Credit: Maxar Technologies via Storyful)
