Quentin Tarantino Engaged To Israeli Girlfriend Daniella Pick
Quentin Tarantino is engaged to his Israeli girlfriend Daniella Pick.
According to Israeli media reports and the director’s New Beverly Cinema’s Twitter page, the couple got engaged on Friday.
The director met the Israeli singer in 2009 while promoting his film Inglorious Basterds. The two have had an on-again off-again relationship, but appear to be settling down.
According to Israeli news site Walla!, Tarantino popped the question in Los Angeles Friday night, with a sparkling engagement ring.
“It’s true. We are very happy and excited,” the Israeli entertainment news outlet quoted Pick as saying.
“She’s thrilled,” a friend told the Walla news site.
The singer’s father Svika Pick, a veteran Israeli musician, reportedly told the outlet, “Yes, there is joy in our family. They got engaged yesterday. We have wished them mazel tov.”
Tarantino made headlines last year when he revealed that he was planning to retire from filmmaking after completing his 10th film — meaning his next two films will be his last.
“Hopefully, the way I define success when I finish my career is that I’m considered one of the greatest filmmakers that ever lived. And going further, a great artist, not just filmmaker,” he said.
