Offset Admits To Lying About Cardi B Cheating On Him While ‘Lit’ On Tequila

Offset admitted to lying about the allegations he created that his wife Cardi B cheated on him, blaming the tequila he drank that night. 

During an episode of the podcast Way Up With Angela Yee, Offset shared that he and his wife were having an argument while he was “really lit” from drinking tequila. The argument was seemingly heated as he described, “If you got a New York woman, you know she’s a pitbull at the mouth.”

During the fight, Offset decided to post as retaliation that “My wife f—-ked a N- – – a on me gang yall n—-as know how I come,” on his Instagram story, which he later deleted.

He continued to say during the interview that despite the argument, “I love my wife at the end of the day. But she crazy, man.”

Offset also explained that he did not retract the accusation publicly before because he deleted the story right after he posted it. He claims that for him, “The delete is enough because at the end of the day them people don’t be really knowing what’s going on with us, for real.” While this may be true for Offset, the news left fans confused and believing that Cardi cheated.

Cardi responded publicly on a Twitter Space conversation about the allegations against her in a rant. She started off by singing “I Should Have Cheated” by Keyshia Cole. “You can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of,” she sang. “Sing it me with ya’ll! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!”

After finishing the first few verses of the song, Cardi told her fans, “Listen, don’t pay attention to that countryman ya’ll. Don’t pay attention to the countryman.” She claimed that he was “spiraling and thinking s—” which isn’t true. She concluded by telling him, “So please boy stop acting stupid. Stop acting stupid.” 

During the interview, Offset additionally addressed his cheating on Cardi after they got married in 2017, which led to their split where Cardi filed for divorce in September 2020. They later reconciled and called off their divorce.

He clarified that at the time, “When I did do that, I was in a different space. I was young. I had just got married. I’m getting a lot of money.” He continued to explain that he was struggling personally with communicating his “wants and needs” to Cardi.

The two seem to be doing well at the moment, as they recently traveled to Vegas and posted a video on Instagram of them having fun at a pool with the caption “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas 😜.” They additionally released a new song “Jealousy” and a music video together on July 28.

The couple has two children together, Kulture Kiari Cephus, 5, and Wave Set Cephus, 2. Cardi is stepmother to Offset’s three other children, Jordan Cephus, Kody Cephus and Kalea Marie Cephus.
