Melania Trump‘s website, which boasted a detailed biography of the former fashion model, has been deleted from the internet.

Melania Trump’s Website Deleted

Melania Trump’s website has come under scrutiny in recent days, with questions arising about the veracity of some of its claims. While no one, including Melania, has commented on the suggestion of a padded biography, it appears as though the suspicion was enough to have the website deleted in its entirety.

A statement posted to Melania’s Twitter reads, “The website in question was created in 2012 and has been removed because it does not accurately reflect my current business and professional interests.”

Melania, wife of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, was said to have received an undergraduate degree in architecture from Slovania’s University of Ljubljana, according to the erstwhile website. Contradicting the website was a book about Melania’s life that was published this year – Melania Trump: The Inside Story – that alleged Melania had quit her studies at the university after a year to pursue modeling.

The alleged embellishment “was almost certainly done in consultation with Trump and his advisors, as they were desperate to give off the impression that the Slovenian model was not just beautiful, but also smart and well-educated,” reads a passage in the unauthorized biography.

At the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio last week, Melania’s speech became a main focus of the media as it came to light that a section of it was plagiarized from Michelle Obama‘s Democratic National Convention speech from 2008. Though Melania wasn’t blamed for the error, it has caused an increased interest in the potential First Lady.
