Ralf Dixon, a grandfather living in Schofield, Wisc., recreated Frozen‘s Olaf out of snow, after his grandson asked him to build a snowman.

Grandfather Builds Olaf Snowman

In an interview with Wisconsin’s local ABC affiliate WAOW, Dixon revealed that his grandson had actually asked him to build a snowman a few weeks earlier, but their plans were put on hold due to warm weather.

When fresh snow fell on Saturday, Dixon seized the opportunity to go outside and create the ultimate snowman for his grandson: a 4-foot-tall re-creation of Olaf, the beloved snowman character from Disney’s 2013 hit, Frozen.

At the time of the interview, Dixon had yet to show his impressive work to his grandson, but said he was confident he would be surprised. “He was expecting me to build just a regular snowman,” Dixon said with a smile.
