“I’ll be ok but it’s important that you keep an eye on who’s giving the shot and make sure they not only swab the spot correctly but that you watch the needle come out of the package,” he advised.

It is still unknown what specific shot Ferrigno was given, as there are two different type of vaccines that fight against pneumonia, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. These two vaccines include Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccines and Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine and they are both recommended for adults who are 65 and older. It is also noted that both shots can bring on mild side effects that usually go away on its own, but PCV13 had been reported to cause swelling at the injection site.

Recently, Ferrigno has starred in films including The AvengersStar Trek Continues and Enter the Fire.  Apart from acting, Ferrigno, who is also a former bodybuilder and trained Michael Jackson for his comeback tour in 2009, co-founds his family’s fitness program, Ferrigno Fit, with his daughter Shanna.

On Thursday, the actor congratulated his son, Lou Ferrigno Jr., on securing the role as Hourman in the DC Stargirl series.

“My kid @LouFerrignoJr has left the Marvel family to join DC! May the new Ferrigno Legacy begin! #prouddad,” he wrote.
