Yellowstone star Forrie J. Smith was kicked off a flight for refusing to sit next to a passenger wearing a mask. Smith told the story in a video posted to his Instagram. The actor said he was in Houston when the incident occurred.

“I just got kicked off a plane . . . because I told them I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to somebody with a mask on.”

“Ya, I’ve been drinking. I’ve been sitting in an airport for three hours,” he said. “Ya, I’m drinking. I ain’t drunk, but they throw me off the plane because I’m drunk, because you people won’t stand up and tell everybody what bulls—t this is.”

Smith did not disclose the name of the airline nor the exact reason why he was removed. Many users in the comment section heavily criticized Smith’s actions.

“You might not have been drunk, but you sure sound drunk in this video,” one person commented.

Another user explained their reason for wearing a mask: “I wear a mask on planes and have been doing it for 15 years. It keeps my nasal passages moist and I don’t pick up colds when I travel.”

Smith has stated in the past that he is unvaccinated and has not been “since [he] was a little kid.”

“I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. Never will. I believe they compromise your immunities,” he said.

Smith previously did not attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2022 because of required Covid vaccination.

Last year, it was announced that Yellowstone would be ending its run after series star Kevin Costner refused to sign on to more seasons.
