'Inception' Beats 'Schmucks'
Christopher Nolan is still the reigning king. The Inception director is celebrating his third week at number one with his latest flick. The critically acclaimed film starring Academy Award nominee Leonardo DiCaprio and Academy Award winner Michael Caine has taken in nearly $200 million since its premiere in mid-July. The slap-stick comedy Dinner for Schmucks starring Paul Rudd and Steve Carell came in at number two with an estimated $23.3 million while Angelina Jolie‘s Salt took in an estimated $19.25 mil. Family friendly films Despicable Me and Cats & Dogs rounded out the top 5 while Zac Efron‘s highly publicized Charlie St. Cloud also opened this weekend at a disappointing sixth place, taking in an estimated $12.1 million.
