Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively made a glamorous red carpet appearance at the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday night in New York City. The power couple joined an all-star lineup of celebrities to celebrate five decades of the iconic sketch comedy show, which has shaped comedy and pop culture for generations.

Lively stunned in a shimmering silver gown adorned with intricate embellishments and floral detailing at the waist. Reynolds sported a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie, perfectly complementing Lively’s radiant look.

The SNL anniversary special was a star-studded event featuring past and present cast members, legendary hosts and surprise appearances from some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Reynolds, who has hosted SNL and made multiple guest appearances over the years, has long been a fan favorite on the show. Lively hosted in 2009.

During the event, Reynolds lightened the mood by referencing Lively’s ongoing legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. In a Q&A segment with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Reynolds joked about a hypothetical situation involving the iconic conehead costumes, deflecting from the sensitive topic.

This marked the couple’s first public appearance since Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation during the film’s production. Baldoni countersued for defamation and civil extortion.
