‘Happy Endings’ Star Eliza Coupe Hits Back At Fans Who Criticized Her ‘Sad’ Appearance At Premiere
Actress Eliza Coupe responded to fans who criticized her appearance at the premiere of the Netflix series The Residence.
On March 19, Coupe, known for her role in the sitcom Happy Endings, posed on the red carpet at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles in a gold sequin dress with a black coat draped over her shoulder. She also wore smokey eye makeup, a black fur coat and black thigh-high boots. Her blonde hair was shaggy and shoulder-length.
Her fans shared their negative reactions to her appearance on the social media platform X. Many claimed that the actress looked “unrecognizable.”
“Most likely, this is a consequence of taking Ozempic; in America, many stars and famous people were placed on it,” one user wrote.
“The photos of Eliza Coupe at the Residence premiere make me so sad, I love Happy Endings, one of the best sitcoms. I was so excited to see her in this,” another user wrote. “Really hope she’s ok.”
Coupe quickly responded to her critics in a reel she posted on Instagram, which featured photos and videos of herself.
In the caption, she wrote that the reel featured “pictures from my camera roll from the past three weeks.” The caption also included hashtags like #thisiswhatrealitylookslike and #hatersgonnahate.
The reactions from the users who commented on this reel were more positive towards her appearance.
The Instagram user wrote, “A GORGEOUS HUMAN BEING.”
“You are f— gorgeous,” @msjessieperl wrote in the reel’s comments section. “Anyone who disagrees can keep their rat hole shut.”
“Beautiful inside and out,” another user declared in the comments.
Coupe also shared another post. In the caption, she stated that the photos of her at the premiere were “widely altered.”
