Emily Ratajkowski Accuses Robin Thicke Of Groping Her On “Blurred Lines ” Set
Model Emily Ratajkowski has accused Robin Thicke of groping her during filming for the music video of the hit song “Blurred Lines.”
In Ratajkowski’s upcoming book My Body, she claims Thicke grabbed her bare breasts when they filmed the video together.
“Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger’s hands cupping my bare breasts from behind,” she wrote. “I instinctively moved away, looking back at Robin Thicke.”
The director of the video, Diane Martel, confirmed that what Ratajkowski said is true.
“I remember the moment that he grabbed her breasts,” she said. “One in each hand. He was standing behind her as they were both in profile.”
“I pushed my chin forward and shrugged, avoiding eye contact, feeling the heat of humiliation pump through my body,” Ratajkowski wrote. “I didn’t react — not really, not like I should have.”
Martel said that Thicke did apologize to Ratajksowki and that he had been drunk at the time, but did not seem to understand why what he did was wrong.
“Robin sheepishly apologized,” Martel said. “As if he knew it was wrong without understanding how it might have felt for Emily.”
Thicke has not responded to Ratajkowski’s allegations.
