Adele revealed the new music video for her first single “Hello,” from her upcoming album 25 on Thursday.

Adele hasn’t released an album since 2011, but this week she made her return to music with her new hit single “Hello” and a new music video to go along with it.

The video for the song was directed by Xavier Dolan and Adele plays the role of a heartbroken woman, calling a past lover to apologize for “everything I’ve done” but her lover doesn’t answer the phone call. 90210 actor Tristan Wilds stars as Adele’s lover in the video.

The music video reflects beautifully on the heartache and sadness that is expressed throughout the song, playing with dark and grey colors on the screen and showing Adele alone in a house while she thinks back to happier times with her lover.

Adele’s 25 is set to be released on Nov. 20 and can be pre-ordered now on iTunes.
