Mandy Jiroux, like her former web series partner Miley Cyrus, is a multi-talented artist. She recently collaborated with Kurt Schneider on with a remix by famed DJ Zedd. “I’ve been such a fan of Kurt,” Jiroux told uInterview exclusively. “So when my manager came up with the idea of collaborating with him I was like, ‘Yes, of course!’" So far, their collaboration has almost a million hits on YouTube. Jiroux’s main project these days is her forthcoming album. “I’m just in the studio a lot working on my album, and it’s going to be very pop-driven, pop-based, as well as maybe a little hip-hop in there and dance as well,” she said.

Regarding Miley's extreme makeover, Jiroux believes that her old friend is just her being her real self. “She’s not controlled by Disney anymore, and she’s always been really out there and outgoing and loud and fun,” Jiroux told uInterview. “So I think she’s just being herself now.”

Q: How did you get involved in your Zedd collaboration with Kurt Schneider? - Uinterview

Kurt Schneider is actually a friend of my manager’s. He worked with my manager as well. I’ve been a fan previous to that, before I was even connected with my manager I’ve been such a fan of Kurt, so when my manager came up with the idea of collaborating with him I was like, ‘Yes, of course!’ So then me and Kurt got together and we instantly clicked and got along so it was great. Kurt was the main creator behind the track. For all his YouTube videos, he’s the one who creates it all, so I just kind of went in the studio and picked which parts I wanted to sing and I fell in love with the track and how he did the track. So yeah, that’s how it came about.

Q: What new music can we expect from you? - Uinterview

My main focus is working on my original music, so I'€™m just in the studio a lot working on my album and it'€™s going to be very pop-driven, pop-based, as well as maybe a little hip-hop in there and dance as well. My sound is a little bit versatile, I don'€™t like to say, '€˜Oh Iâ'™m pop, oh I’m this, oh I'm that.'€™ I think it will just be my sound. The studio process just kind of started, like really cracking down on that so I’d say the next couple of months.

Q: How did you start making your dance tutorials? - Uinterview

I started creating YouTube content for my channel about six months ago, and I knew I wanted to put dance choreography on there and then I just started to do my tutorials and they actually turned out to be a really big hit so that’s how I just keep continuing to do more and more dance tutorials and teach my fans how to do these certain artists’ movements and do what they do and people seem to really like it so I’m going to keep going with that.

Q: Which pop artist do you think is the best dancer now? - Uinterview

Hmmm, I mean, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, I guess. Beyonce for girls for sure. Beyonce is a good dancer.

Q: What was it like choreographing for Sky Blu? - Uinterview

Working with Sky was such a pleasure. He’s such a nice, humble dude, I just love him. And yeah touring with him and choreographing for him was super fun; it was a dream come true for me. It was crazy seeing my choreography on Jay Leno, I was like, 'What? That’s crazy.'

Q: What was it like working with Miley Cyrus on ‘The Mandy and Miley Show’? - Uinterview

Working with Miley was super amazing of course, she'€™s such a cool chick. The Miley and Mandy Show we started it on a whim one day when were in her room and then it just continued and people seemed to really love it so, it was just a lot of fun. A lot of people have asked me, you know, '€˜What do you think of Miley'€™s new image?'€™ and honestly she'€™s just being herself now. She'€™s not controlled by Disney anymore and she'€™s always been really out there and outgoing and loud and fun so I think she's just being herself now.

Q: What was it like appearing on ‘The Kardashians’? - Uinterview

Kris Jenner ended up co-managing us with our other manager Kenneth Career, and so when she started working with us she brought us on the show of course, and it was really fun working with Kris. She’s such a strong, smart woman, so it was really great to be able to work with her for about a year.
